It's so easy to talk to us Our practice is a private practice. What does this mean for patients with statutory health insurance?

Can patients with health insurance still make an appointment?
Of course, you are also welcome to make an appointment at our private practice if you are a statutory health insurance patient; a high percentage of my patients are insured with a statutory health insurance company. They usually want a second or expert opinion. This takes place during a half-hour appointment. This allows plenty of time for a detailed examination and consultation, as well as the necessary instrumental services with state-of-the-art ultrasound, X-rays, etc.

As a self-payer, you will then receive an invoice for the services provided. You will have to pay this invoice yourself; your health insurance company will not cover the costs. My services are charged in accordance with the scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ). For an initial consultation, you should expect a GOÄ-based invoice of between €100-200, depending on the time and effort involved. You will also be informed about further possible costs after the initial consultation, e.g. if an operation is necessary.

If you are hospitalised at the diako, the clinic will settle the hospital costs (DRG flat rate) with your statutory health insurance provider. You yourself would have to bear the costs of the medical treatment by me as part of a chief physician’s bill. Together with the costs of pre- and post-treatment in the practice, the total costs are usually between 2,000 and 3,000 euros, depending on the work involved.
Will my supplementary inpatient insurance cover the costs?
If you have taken out supplementary inpatient insurance with chief physician treatment, this usually covers the costs of inpatient treatment in full. You then only have to pay the bills for treatment in the practice before and after hospitalisation.

You will receive a GOÄ-based invoice for all treatment, so that the costs are transparent for you and can be tracked in detail.
